Incubation Centre:

For providing a supportive platform to young students to realise their start-up dreams, J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad has established J. C. Bose Technology Business Incubator (JCB-TBI) with the support of The Department of Information Technology Electronics & Communication, Haryana (DITECH and one of our own alumni Mr. Mohit Vohra, Founder and MD, MV Electrosystems Pvt Ltd.

The university has created an ecosystem for innovation including JCB-TBI, supported by other initiatives including IoT Lab, Coworking Space, 3D printing setup for prototyping and testing, for creation and transfer of knowledge. At JCB-TBI we offer a wide range of Technical, Strategic Management and Business mentoring support by the expert faculty and experts from various industries. We regularly organize activities like seminars, start-up events, motivational and technical lectures, workshops and symposiums on Ideation, Start-up and Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Industry-Academia Innovative practices etc. to kindle the entrepreneurial spirit of our students and participants. JCB-TBI also supports our budding entrepreneurs with fundraising assistance through various activities.

We have set up a comprehensive Start-up Entrepreneurship Workshop Program to help our students to understand the deep nuances of business and all its components including market research, business planning, pitching to investors for successful implementation of their start-up business ideas. We have already successfully conducted over 50 programs /competitions / workshops for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and half a dozen programs / workshops on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) alone. Some of the key programs are mentioned here.

Key Highlights

• JCB-TBI has worked in synchronisation with other departments of the university like Department of management Studies, Training and Placement office, Institutional Innovation Council, and Department of Students welfare to organize a wide range of programs including seminars, webinars, expert lectures, industry interactions, panel discussions, and interviews with successful entrepreneurs and achievers.
• Wisdom Summits  - JCB-TBI launched Wisdom Summit 2020 - a series of interactive discussions between Prof. Dinesh Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, JCBoseUST, YMCA and Top Achievers from a wide range of sectors. A total of 14 Summits were organised in 2020. List of Wisdom Summits is attached as Annexure 1 herewith. This is going to be regular annual feature for the incubation cell.
•  Leadership Talks – another initiative by the Incubation cell was ‘Leadership Talk Series’ where in over 10 sessions leaders from corporate and academia were invited to talk about their journeys and interact with students. The details are attached as Annexure 2.
• J C Bose Global HR Conclave 2020 – The university successfully organised a Global HR Conclave to provide a platform for students to interact with corporate honchoes to understand the human resource issues and paradigm. Over 25 HR leaders from the industry interacted with students.
• AatmaNirbhar Hackathon 2020 – A virtual hackathon was organised to provide a platform to young budding entrepreneurs to present their ideas and compete for incubation facility at the JCB-TBI. Over 30 teams participated in the event.
• J C Bose National IoT Start-up Challenge 2020 -  the JCB-TBI organized a national level IoT start-up competition to facilitate young entrepreneurs to come forward with solution in various fields using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Over 50 teams participated in the program from various colleges and universities. Top three teams were given incubation facilities worth over 6 Lakhs at the JCB-TBI along with chance to get funding from the Angel Investors’ Jury.
• J C Bose IoT Conference 2020 – To update our students on the latest technology development in IoT we conducted an inter-national conference on IoT. Where top brains from USA, Singapore and South Asia  joined in and shared their knowledge with our students. The program was inaugurated by chief guest Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman AICTE and Sh. Jayant Sahasrabhudhe, NOS, Vijynana Bharati also graced the occasion as guest of honour.
