The Department of Electronics Engineering, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad organized an expert lecture on “Internet of Things and its Applications” on 26th August 2019
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Kota Solomon Raju, Principal Scientist, CSIR CEERI Pilani. His areas of interest include System Design, Embedded Systems, WSN, protocol stacks, Communication and Automation applications. He is also the key person in signing MOU between CSIR CEERI Pilani and Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, Japan.
Dr. Neelam Turk, Chairperson of the Electronics Engg. Deptt. welcomed the speaker by presenting him with a memento. She spoke about the importance of IoT in the field of Electronics and Communication. She informed the participants about the signing of MOU between CSIR CEERI Pilani and J.C. Bose University, Faridabad and encouraged them to implement the ideas discussed in the lecture in their research and project work.
In his lecture, Dr. Raju emphasized on the need of IoT for skill development. He also briefed about different applications of IoT for industrial domains. He emphasized that the current generation needs to be ready for future Industrial revolution, which will be based on digital electronics and IoT will be the key component in it.
The expert lecture was attended by all the faculty members, Ph.D. scholars and Post Graduate students of the department.
Ms. Neetu Gupta and Ms. Sonam Khera were the coordinators and co-coordinator of the expert lecture.
