• Report on Workshop on “Mathematical Modeling and Simulation”
The two-day workshop on ‘Mathematical Modelling and Simulation’ organized by the Department of Mathematics in association with Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology concluded here today. The objective of this workshop was to generate student’s interest in mathematics. More than 100 participants from University and other educational institutions attended in the workshop. Poster Presentation and Model Exhibition were also organized as a part of workshop and participants were awarded for first three positions. Prof. Karmeshu from Jawaharlal Nehru University was chief guest in the valedictory function and gave away certificates to the participant and prizes to the winners of poster and model competitions. Chairperson of Mathematics Department, Dr. Neetu Gupta was also present on this occasion. In poster category, Jyoti Garg, Vashil Gupta, Aman Shankar Jha and Deepali, all from J.C. Bose University, got first position. Geetika from Manav Rachna Institutions bagged second position and third prize won by Shivani Garg and Pragati of J.C. Bose University. Similarly, in the Model Category, first prize won by Shrey Arora and Praveen Kumar and second prize won by Aman Shankar Jha and Deepali, all from J.C. Bose University. The third prize won by Prachi Sharma and Mansi Tonger from Aggarwal College.
