• Report on Expert Lecture on Computational Methods for Equation of Magneto Hydrodynamics
Expert lecture Computational Methods for Equation of Magneto Hydrodynamics commenced successfully on 17th Feb, 2020. This expert lecture had been organized by the Department of Mathematics, J. C. Bose University of Science & Technology, YMCA to enhance the understanding of mathematical knowledge among undergraduate and post-graduate students. As the title suggests, the objective of this particular lecture was to introduce some of the basic applications of Mathematics. It also focused on different skills to improve the background knowledge and teaching skills of teachers to add value to their teaching. This certainly helped young mathematicians to learn mathematics in an enjoyable way.
The participants were welcomed by Dr. Neetu Gupta (Chairperson).. Dr. Neetu Gupta formally welcomed Dr. Harish Kumar, the eminent speaker for the lecture. Nearly 120 participants, who included well-qualified faculty members and students from under graduation and post-graduation, attended the expert lecture. The resource person for this expert lecture was Dr. Harish Kumar, Associate Professor from the Department of Mathematics, IIT Delhi. His lecture included real life as well as engineering applications of Mathematics. He explained various mathematical models and simplified those for the better understanding of the participants. The eminent researchers shared his immense knowledge with the participants. The expert lecture was well appreciated by all the participants. At the end, Dr. Harish Kumar answered the queries raised by the participants. In last, Dr. Neetu Gupta gave a vote of thanks to Dr. Harish Kumar on behalf of the Department.
