2023-24 Two-day event on National Mathematics Day, January 23 and 24, 2024

The Department of Mathematics, in collaboration with Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology is organizing a two-day event on January 23 and 24, 2024, to mark the celebration of National Mathematics Day. The two-day event which was mark the 136th birth anniversary of the genius mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, organized by the Department of Mathematics of J C Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad in collaboration with Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology, concluded here. On the second day of the event, students showcased their artistic talents in the Rangoli making and Poster competition. Institutions such as MDU Rohtak, Aggarwal College Ballabhgarh, Rawal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sarawati College, Palwal participated in the different competitions like Quiz, Poster Making, Rangoli etc. The chief guest of the second day, Prof. D.S Hooda from GJU, Hisar shared inspiring words, encouraging the students to pursue excellence in their academic and extracurricular pursuits. Prof. Renu Chugh, Adjunct-Professor at Gurugram University, Gurugram shared her expertise with the students and engaging discourse added a scholarly dimension to the event. She described the uses of mathematics in universe and introduced us to the book that connects maths with universe named by "God is a Mathematician". At the end of the program, Prof. Neetu Gupta provided a comprehensive overview of the two-day events, highlighting the achievements, participation, and the collaborative efforts that made the event a success. The event culminated with the much-anticipated prize distribution ceremony, acknowledging and celebrating the outstanding contributions and achievements of the participants. In conclusion, a heartfelt vote of thanks was extended to all participants, faculty, staff, and dignitaries for their unwavering support in making the event a grand success.
