Department of Mathematics

 

Strength

1. Meritorious students in UG as well as in PG course.
2. Experienced and dedicated faculty.
3. Out of 13 faculty members(Regular and contractual), 8 are Ph.D, 2 are Ph.D. pursuing, 8 are NET/JRF and GATE qualified.
4. Computer lab is equipped with updated software.
5. Workshop, Faculty development programs conducted by department on regular basis.

 

Weakness

1. PG course is running under self financing scheme.
2. Shortage of space for faculty and research scholars.
3. Lack of Research lab
4. Campus placement of students
5. Shortage of Conference room and Research lab.

 

Opportunity

1. Opportunity to provide consultancy for training and placement.
2. Opportunity to provide quality education along with social and moral values
3. Interaction with latest and advanced ICT
4. Opportunity to advance in the field of research and development.
5. To start new courses with flexible timings.

 

Threats/Challenges

1. To adapt with frequent changes in curriculum and implementation according to CSIR NET/JRF
2. Maintaining and updating of good academic environment as per the growing expectations of Stakeholders.
3. To invent new approaches to education.
4. To motivate and inspire the post graduate students towards research and competitive examination.
