Department of Mechanical Engineering has been in existence since inception of institute in 1969. It offered Post-Diploma courses with specialization in three streams viz. i) Machine Tools; ii) Refrigeration and Air-conditioning; iii) Fabrication, Welding and Sheet Metal Technology.
At UG level, B.Tech. course in Mechanical Engineering, started in 1997, M.Tech. programme in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Manufacturing Technology and Automation was started in year 2003, Ph.D. Course was started in 2010, B.Tech in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence and B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Hindi Medium) started in year 2021.
The courses offered by department are fully equipped with the subjects that are currently the need of the industry, with the aim to make the students market ready and research oriented. The details of the courses are given below:
