About CIL

Central Instrumentation Laboratory (CIL)

The Central Instrumentation lab is established with an aim to provide characterization techniques for futuristic advanced research in various fields. CIL aims at the optimized utilization of the instrumentation facility with quality assurance of analytical and subsequent research outcomes.

Facilities at CIL

The facilities include high-end equipment like,

  1. Atomic Force Microscope (AFM)
  2. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
  3. UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer
  4. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer (FTIR)
  5. Ellipsometer
  6. Digital Microscope
  7. Microwave Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrophotometer (MPAES)

  • To provide basic research support to the University for their instrumentation requirements.
  • To strengthen the facility with state-of-art advanced research instruments making it a model hub for scientific research in this region.

The facilities are available for master students, research scholars and faculty members of the university. There are plans to extend the list of instruments in the near future. The CIL is expected to play a vital role in meeting the equipment needs of all the Science and Engineering departments, and this aspect is particularly appreciated by the newly joined faculties, who necessarily have to spend a few years initially in developing their research laboratories.
