The National Service Scheme is an Indian Government Sponsored flagship for Social Service conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
This Scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year in 1969.
J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, Haryana had also taken an initiative to promote National Service Scheme (NSS) in the University with the support of honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.K. Tomar, NSS University Coordinator Prof. Pradeep Dimri, and Programme Officers Dr. Parveen Kumar, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, and Dr. Anubha Gautam.
NSS Cell of J.C. Bose University provides opportunities not only to students but also to our faculty for doing Social Services. Since the last few years, NSS has gained vast popularity and success with the help & support of NSS volunteers and teachers. We have organized Blood Donation Camps, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan Camping, Tree plantation Camping, Training & Workshop Sessions, Awareness Camping on different social issues, Fit India Movement, and others activities.
NSS Cell of J.C. Bose University had also visited University adopted villages and Performed Nukkad Natak on Awareness Theme. Our Volunteers interact with Villagers to acknowledge them with new Techniques of the Modern Era.
During Lockdown Coronavirus Pandemic 2020, NSS Cell of J.C. Bose University, YMCA had Spread awareness to people to Wear Masks, Maintain Social distancing, Sanitize Hands.
