General Library Rules
- Maintain order and silence in the library.
- Entry is allowed strictly with an identity card.
- Making noise, spitting, smoking, and visiting the library while intoxicated are strictly prohibited.
- Do not write on, damage, or mark any library books.
- Vacate seats ten minutes before closing time.
- The librarian reserves the right to suspend/cancel the membership or impose the fine on any member found misbehaving with the library staff or for any other indecent behaviour.
- Books deemed unfit for safe handling will not be issued.
- The library is not responsible for lost personal belongings.
- The members are not allowed to use mobiles on library premises. They are requested to switch off their mobiles or keep them on vibration mode while entering the library.
- Check books for damage before borrowing. If damage or missing pages are found, report it to library staff to avoid liability for repairs or replacement.
- If a book is lost, replace it with the latest edition or pay the current price. If the current price is unavailable, double the cost is charged.
- Students are fined Rs. 2 per day per book for overdue items.
- The librarian may recall any book at any time.
