Digi Week 2022


UCC&DA observed Digi-Week 2022 during the last week of May 2022. Digi-Week 2022: The Techno-Digital week was an online and offline hybrid series of events covering workshops, contests and coding competitions. Digi-week was organized from 25th May 2022 to 27th May 2022 for all students of university.

 

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. S.K. Tomar appreciated the efforts of organizers especially vibrant student coordinators to organize these kinds of events for students of the university. He applauded the initiative and suggested that such events should be organized regularly to bring out and showcase the hidden talent of students. The expert speakers of Digi-Week were felicitated by Hon’ble Vice-chancellor, Worthy registrar Dr. S. K. Garg, Dean FIC Prof. Komal Kumar Bhatia, Dean FLAMS Prof. Atul Mishra & Director UCC & DA Dr. Neelam Duhan.

 

On 25th May and 26th May the first event of digi week hack it on was organized. First day of the event was online and the second day was held online .The event provided the students a logical and technical platform to compete for coding in various themes. Problem statements were given to participants for which they needed to provide a solution with a prototype and presentation.

 

The 2nd event of the digi-Week was crypto rush. This event gave the participants a feel of the stock market without the risk associated. This event encouraged the eager mind to explore the rush of crypto trading and making profits. Started on 25th may the event ended on 27th may and it was held in online mode.

 

On 25th May, a coding contest named “Concept of Code – XII” was organized as part of Digi-week. The competition began at 9 pm and lasted till 11 pm, in which students participated in large numbers of more than 200 figures. The event was conducted online on HackerEarth platform to ensure that the competition is carried out in a free and fair Manner. On 27th May the event moved to its second stage i.e. Personal interview.

 

From the 25th also began another event “Khelo Dimag Se”. The event provided the Cricket Fanatics a platform to showcase their analytical and observation skills.
The tournament was organized on the online platform of Dream 11 and went on till 27th May. The tournament was a huge success and saw participants in great numbers.

 

Con - QR was the most fun and engaging event of the Digi Week of 2022. Held on 25th May was an offline event, in this event the students had to team up and solve the logical riddles to reveal the location of the QR’s physically located in the campus. The competition was very close and winners were awarded with cash prizes.

 

“Tech Talk” held on 27th May was an expert talk for budding programmers. Mainstay of the event was session of Mr. Love Babbar (Youtuber, Ex-microsoft, Ex- amazon). With the placement season around the corner, the event mainly focused on DSA, placement drives, projects, Q&A sessions. Students got the golden opportunity to have a great interaction with the industry expert and leading educator.

 

 

Dr. Neelam Duhan commended the efforts of coordinators especially students of the cell for having shown their interests amid this pandemic and to come up with their talents on this platform. She appreciated the efforts of students under the guidance of faculty coordinators Dr. Deepika Punj, Dr. Rewa Sharma, Dr. Lalit Goyal, Dr. Arun for efficiently executing this Digi-week.
