BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance) sector plays a crucial role in sustainable growth of an economy by providing diverse career opportunities ranging from entry-level positions to managerial roles. The rapid advancement in technology, innovations, and complexities in financial markets has boosted the demand for skilled professionals in the BFSI domain. B.Voc BFSI is a Bachelor of Vocation course in Banking, Finance Services and Insurance. This programme focuses on skill development based higher education leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) degree with multiple entry and exit points. It integrates NSQF at undergraduate level in order to enhance employability of the graduates and meet industry requirement. This programme emphasizes on hands-on, practical training/internships in various aspects of banking, financial services, and insurance and prepares students for various roles in BFSI sector. The curriculum of the program is aligned with industry standards and practices to enhance students’ learning experience in industry relevance and make them work ready at each exit point of the programme. The curriculum is a suitable mix of the General Education Components (GEC) and Skill Education Components (SEC) in a fixed ratio of 40:60. Time to time various industry experts are invited to introduce students with evolving industry landscape and latest technologies in BFSI like digital banking, fintech innovations and regulatory compliance. The course is designed to produce job-ready graduates who are equipped with the practical skills and knowledge required by employers in the BFSI sector. Various certification courses of reputed organizations like NCFM, NISM, NSE, BSE etc. in BFSI domain are associated with the curriculum to enhance students’ credibility in the job market.
