Facilities in Boys Hostel:
(a) One reading room in each boys’ and girls’ hostel with newspapers and magazines.
(b) Shift canteen in Girls hostel.
(c) One common room in girls’ hostel and two common rooms in boys’ hostel with LED TVs.
(d) Table Tennis room in boys’ hostel.
(e) Wifi facility available in all hostels.
(f) All hostels have independent warden for proper administration and discipline.
(g) Water coolers fitted with RO are provided.
(h) All hostels are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras and security guards.
(i) Separate officers’ mess for staff and guests of staff & students.
(j) The hostels are provided with carom board, chessboard, and skipping rope for recreation & entertainment of the residents within hostel premises.
(k) Guest room in girls’ hostel for female relatives of students.
Girls Hostels Facilities and Rules
Located near the main administrative offices of the University, Girls’ Hostel is an affordable, homely and safe accommodation with following facilities:
- Mess Facility-The hostel mess which is run on contract basis, provides hygienic food and water with clean utensils and proper furniture for the girls to dine. Police verification and medical check-up of the mess workers is done to ensure the safety and health of the students. Periodic inspection is done by the wardens and students’ representatives to maintain the standards and quality of the food items. Facility of shift canteen is also provided to the girls at the time of exams.
- Well-ventilated and spacious rooms.
- Reading room with desktops, Common room with LED TV, Visitor room and Guest room.
- A state of art facility Gym for good physical and mental health of hostel residents.
- 24x7 RO water supply for drinking and water tanks cleaned regularly.
- First aid and 24x7 Ambulance facilities.
- Badminton and Basketball courts.
- Sports and Recreational Facilities
- All wings are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras and security guards (male and female guards).
- Biometric Attendance System, manual attendance and daily entry record.
- Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines and Incinerators in all the wings.

- Wi fi facility available in all wings.
- Uninterrupted electricity supply with backup for examinations.
- Fire extinguisher as per the norms of government is provided in the hostel for fire safety.
- Soft water tank to provide soft water to the girls in the bathrooms and washrooms.
- Apart from all the facilities mentioned above pest control and fumigation/spray for protection from rats and mosquitoes is done on regular basis.
- Expert lectures are organized to create awareness amongst the girls to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
- Self Defense, Anti Ragging, Anti-drugs, Career counseling and Yoga classes are also organized from time to time.
- The hostel administration organizes a fresher party every year to welcome its new students which let the students mingle with each other to make the hostel atmosphere amicable and friendly.
- Strict rules have been formulated to maintain discipline and hygiene in the hostel premises though prohibition of ragging is the major concern of the authorities. The students are expected to strictly adhere to the hostel entry and exit timings.
- Feedback registers, Complaint registers and suggestion box are maintained to address the grievances of the students.
- Mess food Inspection report, Student feedback report, and cleanliness report are maintained.

Mess/Hostel Rules:
- The University Girls’ hostel mess is run on contract basis and is supervised by the mess committees. The Convenor of the mess committee and its members are nominated from among the residents of hostels for a period fixed by the warden and the mess committees should ordinarily be changed after every two/three months.
- Ragging in any form in the university/ hostel/mess is illegal and banned as per an act of Govt. of India. In case of disciplinary action against a student physical presence/undertaking of parents (only) will be valid. Uncles, brothers/sisters/cousins will not be entertained
- All the residents are expected to take their meals in the hostel mess.
- All the residents must carry their hostel I-card to the mess while taking meal, failing which they are first warned and then fined according to hostel rules.
- Meals will be served only in the dining hall during the hours notified. However, in case of illness meals can be served in the room, on the recommendation of the Medical Officer of the University.
- Residents will not go into the cooking area.
- Cooking in the rooms is strictly prohibited.
- No resident shall take meals from the mess to which she does not belong. A student is not permitted to take food in place of another student.

Breakfast 07.30 am to 09.30 am
Lunch 12:30 pm to 02:15 pm
Dinner 08:00 pm to 09.30 pm
- These are subject to changes with the consent of the Wardens/ Additional Chief Warden/ Chief Warden.
- Under no circumstances, members are allowed to take cups, saucers, tumblers and other utensils of the hostel mess to their rooms/lawns outside.
- Students are expected to maintain perfect discipline and order in the dining halls during dining hours. They are normally not allowed to enter the kitchen and help themselves. If extra food is required, they must ask the concerned person serving extras. All diners are expected to wear decent dresses in the dining halls.
- Residents of the hostels have to pay the monthly mess bills up to 12th of every month falling which the fine of Rs.10/- per day will be charged. Also, no rebate will be given to the defaulters.
- Students are not allowed in the mess to take meals in knickers, shorts or exposed legs.
- The residents of the hostel have to pay the hostel and mess charges in the form of Demand Draft in CHW office at the start of the session.
- “No Dues Certificate" will be issued from the hostel only to those students who have cleared all the dues to the hostel. The chief warden will report to the Registrar the names of the defaulters of the hostel dues for further action.
- Every Student who is residing in Girls’ Hostel is required to pay mess bill of minimum 25 days.
- After examination and before leaving the hostel, the residents should submit the photocopy of “No Dues Slip” signed by hostel attendant & hostel I-card to their respective warden. The slip is checked before allotting the hostel in next session.
- The procedure for taking permission to take part in extra-curricular activities is as follows:-
- The students should write a request letter (Hostel wise) and sign it from the Concerned Authority of the activity (e.g., DSW Office, Chairpersons etc.).
- The warden of respective hostel clearly writes either it is recommended or not recommended.
- The ACHW (Girls) send it to the Proctor/Chief Warden of the University for the proper security of the participating students.
- After the allowed time, the respective warden should ensure that either all the students returned to the hostel or not.
- In case of any problem, the Warden may contact ACHW (Girls)/Chief Warden/ Proctor.
