The PhD in Mechanical
Engineering program at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA
Faridabad is a doctoral research degree. Admission requires candidates to
qualify an entrance test, though those with valid GATE/UGC/NET/CSIR (JRF)/SLET
or M.Phil in a related field are exempted. The program is a minimum of
three years and can be up to six years, and it focuses on research areas such
as Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, Industrial engineering, Energy Conservation
etc.
Admission process

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria,
including passing a Ph.D. entrance test.
2.
Exemptions:
Candidates with valid GATE, UGC, NET, CSIR (JRF), or
SLET scores, or those who have passed a regular M.Phil program in a related
discipline, are exempt from the entrance test.
3.
Selection:
Eligible candidates will be selected based on their
performance in the entrance test (or exemption) and a subsequent interview or
presentation conducted by the Departmental Research Committee (DRC).
4.
Entrance Test:
The qualifying marks for the Ph.D. entrance test
are 50% for general candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy
layers)/differently-abled categories.
