World Earth Day - 2025 Celebrations organized by Department of Environmental Sciences and Vasundhara Eco-club
The Department of Environmental Sciences, in collaboration with Vasundhara Eco-Club, successfully celebrated World Earth Day on 22nd April 2025 at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, Haryana. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Our Power and Our Planet”, emphasizing the vital role of collective action in safeguarding our environment. The event commenced with a symbolic lamp-lighting and felicitation ceremony, symbolizing hope and commitment towards a greener planet. Shri Krishan Singhal, Deputy General Manager (Retd.), IOCL, Faridabad and Dr. N. P. Shukla, Former Chairman of the Commission for Air Quality Management in the National Capital Region and adjoining areas, New Delhi were the distinguished guests on the occasion presided over by Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, Vice Chancellor, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology YMCA Faridabad. Deans, Chairpersons and faculty members of various departments were present on the occasion.
