Dr. Renuka Gupta is currently working as Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of Environmental Sciences at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad (Haryana), India. She has 16 years of teaching and research experience. She completed her Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering in 2010 from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Haryana. Her major research interests include Environmental Pollution Control, Sustainable Water and Wastewater treatment using Nanotechnology, Heavy metal pollution monitoring and remediation and Solid waste management and resource recovery. She has published more than 50 research papers/ articles in reputed national and international journals. She currently serves as a Guest Editor for a Special Issue of the Journal of Hazardous Materials Advances (Elsevier) and also served as reviewer for journals published by Elsevier, Springer, ACS, and others. She also contributed as Member of the Sub-Committee on Research and Development under the National Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in NCR and adjoining areas, New Delhi, India. In addition, she is the Environmental Nodal Officer at University for the national organization Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi, aimed at raising environmental awareness among students, staff and society.
