ABOUT

Dr. Anurag joined the department in 2020. He obtained M.Sc. (2008) and M.Phil. Energy (2009) degrees from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and later moved to National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune and worked with Dr. U.K. Kharul on Polymer Electrolyte Membranes. He completed Ph.D. (2010 - 2014) in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune on Polymer Electrolyte Membranes and further pursued Post-doctoral Research under the guidance of Prof. Balasubramanian Sundaram at the Chemistry and Physics of Materials Unit, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore (2014-15). He awarded prestigious DST INSPIRE Faculty Award in Materials Sciences (2015) by Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India. After working for 5 years as a DST INSPIRE Faculty at reputed Central Universities in North India, he comleted his 5 year Inspire tenure successfuly with "Very Good" grade. He is recipient of Rajat Jayanti Science Communication Fellowship Award by NCSTC, DST-New Delhi (2011). After joining the University, he has been awarded UGC Start-up (BSR) Grant in 2021 of Rs. 10 Lakh (PI), SERB (Now ANRF) - Core research Grant (CRG) in 2022 of Rs 32.14 Lakhs (PI), and DST-Haryana (HSCSIT) Research Grant in 2024 of Rs. 30 Lakhs (CO-PI). His research interest is to investigate proton-conducting materials, electrolytes and polymer membranes for Energy & Volatile Organic Compounds in Ambient Air for Environment applications.
