Dr. Somvir Bajar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad. His research focuses on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, energy recovery from waste sectors, and sustainable pollutant abatement through bioremediation. He has authored and co-authored 58 publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He has been awarded the C.V. Raman Scholarship for his work on methane mitigation from waste sectors. Previously, he served as Assistant Professor & Incharge at Central University of Haryana and as Senior Demonstrator at PGIMER, Chandigarh, where he contributed to research on environmental pollutants and human health. He has provided environmental consultancy to over 900 industries, generating significant revenue and advancing public-private partnerships. Additionally, he has managed an air monitoring station under the NAMP program of CPCB and is currently leading research projects worth over 6.9 crore and 30 lakhs, funded by DST and HSCSIT, respectively.
